A serious rosé is created in the tension that lies between the fruit sweetness from the Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay and the savoury herbaceous characters of the Shiraz. On the nose its bright and lively with a fresh yet fruit-forward palate. The acid balances the fruit well with a serious textural element coming from the lees contact from the chardonnay and fume blanc barrels. This is a drinkable and pleasing rose that elevates food or can just as easily be drunk on its’ own.
A selection of Adelaide Hills Chardonnay and Fume Blanc barrels including free-run and pressings were blended with direct pressed shiraz rose that was fermented and aged on full lees in stainless steel.
